XIAMEN — Xiamen Inspection and Testing Institute, in collaboration with Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory, Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP), and State Grid Fujian Energy, recently completed on-site hydrogen sampling and quality evaluation at Fujian Province's first hydrogen refueling station. The milestone marks the successful local deployment of terminal-side on-site sampling and testing technology for hydrogen refueling infrastructure across the province.

The sampling operation selected the station's hydrogen‑refueling nozzle outlet as the designated sampling point, operating at a pressure of 35 MPa. Utilizing specialized sampling equipment, technicians transferred the terminal hydrogen into dedicated cylinders while executing strict on-site operational protocols, including electrostatic grounding, equipment tightness testing, line evacuation, and multi-stage purging.
The on-site sampling was conducted in strict compliance with the national standard Technical Requirements For Sampling of Hydrogen for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Vehicles (GB/T 44262-2024). Following sampling, the samples were delivered to the hydrogen quality testing laboratory constructed by the Xiamen Inspection and Testing Institute under the SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation) Key Laboratory framework. Comprehensive quality testing will be conducted according to Fuel Specification for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell Vehicles—Hydrogen (GB 37224-2018), forming a closed-loop quality control framework spanning "on-site sampling, laboratory analysis, and full-chain evaluation."
This sampling and evaluation work strengthens Fujian's quality control system across downstream hydrogen application scenarios, providing critical technical data to support standardized station operations and hydrogen quality safety assessments province-wide.
