Yanshan Petrochemical Hits New Monthly Record for Fuel-Cell-Grade Hydrogen Deliveries in September

Building on its all-time high set in August, Yanshan Petrochemical has broken another monthly benchmark in September, shipping out 144.25 tons of fuel-cell-grade hydrogen.

The company pursues stable production alongside market expansion. By deepening its presence across hydrogen-energy sectors and opening up new end-use scenarios, Yanshan Petrochemical delivers tangible low-carbon outcomes and supplies robust hydrogen feedstock to support high-quality growth of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei hydrogen cluster.

September coincided with supply-crunch periods for the Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays. Balancing plant operations and market outreach, the firm boosted cross-department coordination and made headway in distribution channels. Two new hydrogen supply use-cases went live during the month, expanding its external hydrogen delivery footprint and lifting overall supply capacity.

Throughout the supply guarantee period, Yanshan Petrochemical prioritised operational safety. It enforced strict holiday-time protocols covering on-site duty rosters and emergency response, fine-tuned plant operating parameters and tightened quality-control workflows. These measures kept its hydrogen-for-new-energy facility running at high, stable loads, reliably serving established demand from regional hydrogen refuelling stations, hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks and industrial hydrogen-fueled forklifts.

As a key hydrogen supplier for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Yanshan Petrochemical has long built out its full-value-chain hydrogen portfolio through innovation and green-oriented transformation. It successfully delivered dedicated hydrogen supplies for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, enabling the first-ever zero-carbon main cauldron in Olympic history. Its hydrogen-energy plant is recognised as Sinopec’s first carbon-neutral demonstration facility, setting a strong industry benchmark for green production.

To date, Yanshan Petrochemical has supplied more than 5 000 tons of fuel-cell-grade hydrogen within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.
